Background:
Dr. Tracey McElwee is a research Professor who studies the factors that promote and/or inhibit equitable implementation as it relates to nutrition and food access. She has expertise in developing, implementing, and disseminating interventions for reducing the burden of obesity and food insecurity in low-income communities. Her goal is to promote health across socioeconomic levels, with a focus on nutrition promotion for racial/ethnic minorities and families.

Reason for becoming a Certified Food Over Medicine Instructor:
I became a Certified Food Over Medicine Instructor because I wanted to learn the science behind treating various health conditions with food rather than traditional western medicine.
