Background:
I am a licensed psychologist and have been in practice in Ohio since 1981. I completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship and more at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I did research on food refusal in children with developmental disabilities and was an author on several published papers. I was also involved in research on seizure medications in school-age children. I specialize in developmental disabilities and was Director of the Psychology Department at Blick Clinic in Akron before going into private practice in 1988. I also hold a Certification in Plant-Based Nutrition from the Dr. T. Colin Campbell Program (2012). Currently, I am also working toward certification in Nutritional Psychology.
Reason for becoming a Certified Food Over Medicine Instructor:
I wanted to become a Food Over Medicine Instructor because I am totally committed to spreading the Wellness Forum Health’s message that nutrition and informed medical decision making are where healthcare needs to go in order to help people prevent illness and maintain their health way into the 90’s and beyond. I see people all the time who are looking for help to feel better and who are committed to making the necessary changes in their lifestyles. They are crying out for our help. Let food be thy medicine!
