Background:
Mr. Rome has held several positions during his career. He retired from a position held at the Milton Hershey School where he and his wife were full time houseparents for needy children. He also worked at a local newspaper in their composing department and left that position to work for the U.S. Postal Service. He became convinced of the benefits of whole plant food eating at the age of 40 and has been pursuing that interest ever since. He completed several nutritional courses during those years including the Life Science Course. This course was derived from the principles promoted by the Science of Natural Hygiene. He also completed a certified nutritional course that was created by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. Mr. Rome is the father of six children and is currently residing with his wife near Harrisburg, Pa. I was first introduced to a whole plant based diet over 30 years ago. Throughout those years I have personally experienced a disease free life without taking medication or have I had a need to visit a doctor.
Reason for becoming a Food Over Medicine Instructor:
I have completed the Food Over Medicine Program to help others to realize the importance of how the human body can recover from disease. Once a person understands the fundamentals of nutrition presented in FOM he/she will gain the freedom to take control of their health for the rest of their life.
